Description |
Wooden stave-constructed container with lid. (a) Round container, stave construction, secured with nails and wooden wrapping. Bottom is flat, made from one piece of wood. Two opposite staves extend up beyond the rim of the container, each with a hole. (b) Round lid, with handle formed by bar extending across lid with cutout hand hold. Handle slides, and is attached to lid with dovetail joint. A peg on each end slides through tabs on container. |
